for businesses to apply to participate in the

SECOND ANNUAL
MIDWEST RECYCLING INVESTMENT FORUM

Presented by the Mid-America Council of Recycling Officials
in conjunction with the National Recycling Congress and Exposition
Co-organized by the Northeast Recycling Council, National Recycling
Coalition and Kirkworks
Sponsored by the U.S. EPA, Region V

The Forum--
An exclusive opportunity for new and expanding recycling companies
seeking equity. The selected firms will make presentations of their
business plans to a diverse investor audience including: individual
"angel" investors, venture capitalists, bankers, corporate investors,
investment intermediaries, government finance agencies and other
financiers.

Interested Recycling Companies are invited to apply for participation in
the Forum. The most qualified businesses will be selected by a
committee of financial professionals, based on the quality of their
application forums and business plans. The application deadline is July
2, 1999.

Who Should Apply--

Start-up and expanding recycling businesses seeking equity capital, who
can answer yes to the following questions should apply. Does your
company...

operate or plan to operate a facility in the Midwest Region?

process materials from the solid waste stream, manufacture products
containing recovered materials, or provide other products and services
which support recycling?

seek equity investments between $100,000 and $5,000,000, and offer
potentially strong investment returns?

offer unique products or services with documented market opportunities
and competitive advantages?

have strong, proven management or a plan for completing the management
team?

have an up-to-date business plan, complete with financial statements?
