The National Association of Counties is looking for examples of
County bans on the landfilling of yard materials. They are
especially interested in copies of ordinances.

If you can help them out, you can either fax the information to
Velma Gentzsch at (202)661-8871, or call her at (202)661-8806.

Thanks much,

John,

In California, San Diego and Sonoma Counties ban green materials from
landfills.

Michele Raymond, State Recycling Laws Update, has done a good job in
summarizing which states and local governments have enacted different bans.
