According to SPI, as quoted in the 11/98 Container Recycling Report,
bottles sales of PVC declined in August 1998 over the year before
by -14.8%, and for the year through August over the year before, by --3.4%,
at the same time that PET grew by 43.3% and 19.7%, respectively, while HDPE
essentially remained the same, 1.2% increase and -0.9% decrease,
respectively.
