This issue is close to home. A relevant point to keep in mind is that
the higher asking price is based at least in part with permitted vehicle
access requested by the grantee. Such vehicle access will likely spread
a disease which attacks the valuable Port Orford Cedar. If the world
made sense, they would only be allowed such access as was available in
1872- which established the initial cost of sale - horse, donkey, or
mule.
