[GreenYes] First victory in fight to block Metro Vancouver's incinerators

This week citizens of Port Moody (Canada) are celebrating the defeat of a
proposal to build a "waste-to-energy" garbage gasification
plant in their community. Congratulations to the community, and
also to the municipal government for providing an open public
consultation before deciding whether to pursue the project. Visit the
