Dear All,
The packaging directive sets the concentration levels of heavy metals in
packaging at 100ppm but there is a derogation for plastic crates and
pallets that is supposed to expire in March 2009. The industry is asking
the Commission to renew this exemption and the consultancy BIO
intelligence is asking us whether we have any comments.
Are you aware of any:
USE issue, contamination to the food for instance
PRODUCTION and RECYCLING Issues (leaching for instance) related to these
plastic crates and pallets?
If you would like to provide information, even a small response, PLEASE
send it to me before Wednesday 17 September at the latest... Thanks a lot.
Kind regards,
Nathalie
