Boston Wants to Harness Composting EnergyBoston is planning a unique composting center that would help with some of the city's energy needs. A proposed multi-million dollar indoor urban composting facility would capture methane gas that rotting leaves give off and burn it to generate electricity for 1,500 homes, as well as to run on-site, year-round greenhouses.
