Subject: Help request! Outreach for Coal Moratorium event
Date: Mon, 18 Feb 2008 11:43:21 -0600

I'm working on outreach for a Coal Moratorium event here in Texas. Our
goal is to increase attention to the need for a national coal
moratorium and to the issue of climate change in the presidential
race. I'm hoping you can help.

As part of the Coal Moratorium Now Conference and Rally scheduled for
Houston on February 27 and 28, we are asking environmental groups to
sign on to the nationwide CITIZENS CALL TO ACTION TO STOP GLOBAL
WARMING AND CLIMATE CHANGE. You can read the call to action at http://www.cleanenergyaction.net/callaction.cfm . It's easy to sign on -- just scroll down to the form below the call
to action.

I would appreciate an email to advise me of actions on this request.
Note that immediate action would be most helpful -- we want to include
information on signatories to the call to action in our publicity for
the Coal Rally events.

If you know of any environmental groups that I should contact to
request their support for this effort, please send me their contact
information or feel free to forward this request.

Attached is the latest information on the Coal Moratorium Now
Conference and Rally. Please share it. We need everyone to attend who
can get to Houston! Note that our event was planned to accompany the
Houston Presidential Summit on Energy Policy. That Summit is going
forward, although only Hillary Clinton and Ron Paul are currently
scheduled to attend. http://www.houston.org/media/pdfs/SummitCandidateSpeakers.pdf

Attached is our event flyer. Our website is www.coalblock.net

Thanks.
