New York State's 18th Annual Recycling Conference
& Compost Workshop
New York State's Partners in Recycling
Nov. 14 - 16 Cooperstown, NY


Cooperstown, NY - On November 14 and 15 the New York State Association of Reduction, Reuse and Recycling (NYSAR3) and NYS Organics Recycling and Compost Council in association with the Cornell Waste Management Institute (CWMI) is offering a one and a half day compost training at the beautiful Otesaga Resort Hotel in Cooperstown, New York.

The training will include compost uses and markets, principles and methods of composting, odor control, compost sampling and evaluation and an opportunity to pick the brains of composting experts.

The 18th Annual New York State Recycling Conference will follow the compost training workshop.
Plan now for this year's conference at the Otesaga Resort Hotel in Cooperstown on Thursday and Friday, November 15 and 16.New York State Association for Reduction, Reuse and Recycling, Inc., the National Recycling Coalition, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, Empire State Development, and Cornell Waste Management Institute are sponsoring this annual conference.

Why three days?A pre-workshop of one and a half days has been added for a compost training workshop.

On  Thursday and Friday  the annual membership meeting  opens with the question: "What is the Status of Recycling in New York State and the Nation?"Two concurrent tracks will follow the plenary:Glass Recycling and Media/Communication that will convey many twists and turns.

Other perks of the conference includes a vendor exhibition and reception, a meet and greet breakfast, an agenda loaded with knowledge and a great place to network.

Friday's Awards luncheon will end the conference with the unveiling of the Recycler(s) of the Year and the America Recycles Day poster contest winners.

Celebrate America Recycles Day in beautiful historic Cooperstown with great food, conversation, and baseball, too.
