Does anyone know of places that have experimented with clear/translucent bags (lightly tinted) for  solid waste  (NOT recyclables) as a means to divert material from landfill and to increase recycling? 

 

My research is supported by Quinte Waste Solutions (  <http://www.quinterecycling.org> www.quinterecycling.org) and Stewardship Ontario (  <http://www.stewardshipontario.ca> www.stewardshipontario.ca). I am trying to identify places that have experimented with clear/transparent bags for solid waste collection  in North America (and elsewhere).
