[GreenYes] NRC Congress Update

Greetings GreenYes.  I hope that many of you will be able join us for the
25th Anniversary National Recycling Coalition Congress and Expo in Atlanta
this October. 

 

NRC is excited to work with several leading organizations to enrich the
content of this year's educational program, including the GrassRoots
Recycling Network (GRRN).  On Sunday, October 22, GRRN will present an
intensive workshop on best practices in zero waste to equip attendees with
practical strategies for implementing zero waste in local communities.

 

Below is an update on the NRC Congress and Expo, as well as more information
on the GRRN workshop at the Congress.

The GrassRoots Recycling Network (GRRN) will demonstrate how communities are
moving Zero Waste from an idealistic vision, to a realistic goal, to a
planning framework for communities and sustainable enterprise. GRRN will go
beyond talking about theory and offer people the nuts and bolts guidance
they need to implement programs in their own community. The curriculum will
consist of best practices, model policies, and technical solutions. The
content and format will be action-oriented so attendees will leave with
plans and concrete takeaways for implementation.
