[GreenYes] Re: Earth911's growing problems

I am sorry to hear that there are financial problems with Earth 911. As long as I used my password, I did not have any problems.

I find this very interesting. As a past recycling coordinator I had no problems with them. On updating the information, I had a password and updated my material whenever there were changes to my program. Every time I had an occasion to correspond with them, I found them friendly and helpful. I continue to support their efforts today.

Hi, can any GreenYessers me why the Earth911 nonprofit has become even more frustrating and non-helpful than ever? Aaaargh! Ever since they first contacted our county 10 years ago, they have always had us pulling hair out of our heads trying to get them to air the correct facts about our solid waste management services, blue box program, recycling depots, etc. Their empty excuses like "we're so sorry but we're all so busy" wore very thin back around 1999! Instead of it getting better after 10 years, Earths'911 only worsens. Now no feed-back at all from them, no word whatsoever from our latest contact person (my boss counted 4 in the past 6 months alone), not even the old useless excuses. We're tired of it, and worried because their phone number is on some of our older print material. Has anyone else had similar sour experiences over the years, or especially the past few months? Maybe the corporation sponsors (their website lists companies like ESRI, Home Depot, Staples, Exxon, etc.) can clarify where their corporate dollars are going or if they think it is a winning project? Does EPA still give them financial help? Thanks for any information and shared experiences. JPW
