[GreenYes] Satya Magazine - May '06, The (Zero) Waste Issue

Colleagues and Respected Decision Makers,
   
  I wanted to give each of you the opportunity to enjoy the new issue of Satya magazine (downloadable below).  This issue provides a variety of wonderful articles and interviews about waste and opportunities to embrace the sustainable alternative to waste commonly known as Zero Waste.  While you should all be encouraged to subscribe (and increase the current 25,000 copy monthly circulation), I wanted to be certain you each had the opportunity to enjoy this edition in particular in the tree-free version.

  Satya is a monthly magazine that focuses on animal advocacy, environmentalism, social justice and vegetarianism. "Satya" means "truth" in Sanskrit, and is derived from and inspired by Mohandas Gandhi's nonviolent Satyagraha or "truth action" movement for social change. Now in its tenth year, Satya Magazine is committed to continuing Gandhi's legacy by increasing dialogue among activists from diverse backgrounds and engaging readers in ways to integrate compassion into their daily lives.

      Satya is distributed  free-of-charge to businesses and places of learning in the New York City area, and has an international subscriber base. Subscriptions are available for U.S.$20/1yr,  $35/2yr   ($40 non-U.S.).
