Hi Christine ~ The State of Wisconsin has required adequate recycling space as part of both new and remodeled buildings as part of its recycling law adopted in 1990. The standards are in the administrative code for commercial buildings, Comm 62, on the internet at http://www.legis.state.wi.us/rsb/code/comm/comm062.pdf, with the recommendations for the amount of space in Appendix B, given on the web at http://www.legis.state.wi.us/rsb/code/comm/comm061-065_app_b.pdf. Best wishes, John -----Original Message----- From: GreenYes@no.address [mailto:GreenYes@no.address]On Behalf Of Christine.McCoy@no.address Sent: Thursday, April 13, 2006 1:40 PM To: maillist@no.address; greenyes@no.address; jtrnet@no.address Subject: [GreenYes] Adequate space requirements for new developments Hello All - We just passed an ordinance requiring all new developments to include adequate space for refuse/recycling containers. Wanted to know if others have this requirement and if you have any guidelines with regard to how much space - sq feet or whatever measure you use - is considered "adequate" or "equal" or any other standard you may use. Thanks so much, Christine McCoy City of Alexandria 703/519-3486 ext. 132 --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "GreenYes" group.
