[GreenYes] Re: Purchasing specifications - environmentally benign pressure sensitive adhesives

John,

EPA has an extensive EPP searchable database online. I don't have the weblink offhand, but you can find their Environmentally Preferable Purchasing division online.

Does anyone know of any local or state purchasing specifications for the use of environmentally benign pressure sensitive adhesives?

Last week, a speaker at the Wisconsin Governor's Blue Ribbon Task Force on Waste Materials and Recovery said that the three biggest problems facing the paper recycling industry are stickies, stickies and stickies.

Besides the work of the Task Force, the Wisconsin Council on Recycling is also working to reduce the use of pressure sensitive adhesives that are not compatible with recycling.

Thanks much,
