[GreenYes] Business Waste Reduction Planner positions open


Metro, the regional government in the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area, is recruiting for two Business Waste Reduction Planner positions * one full-time (40 hour-per-week) position and one half-time (20 hour-per-week), job share position.

The application deadline is 5 pm, Friday, January 6, 2006.

The salary range, based on full-time employment is $46,359.17 - $62,068.26 annually.

These positions coordinate the work of the Business Recovery Work Group, a Metro-local government collaborative team that plans, develops, implements and evaluates programs and projects to prevent business waste and to increase the recovery of recyclable materials generated by businesses. These positions perform a variety of mid-level waste reduction planning and analytical activities, including providing technical and administrative support, developing and maintaining databases, conducting research and analysis, developing and evaluating proposals, and researching and preparing reports. These positions are supervised by the Waste Reduction Supervisor, Waste Reduction & Outreach Division.
