Ostensibly, today is the deadline for submitting panel session ideas
to the Air and Waste Management Association's annual conference next
June. It was scheduled years in advance to be held in New
Orleans. After some communications and time, it has been decided to
hold it there. Because of that, it would be really great if we could
have a panel discussion about green reconstruction / building after
hurricane destruction. I've noticed some discussion on this
here. Would some of you like to discuss this in a panel session in
New Orleans June 20-23, 2006? Here's the blurb from AWMA:
http://www.awma.org/ACE2006/default.asp The waste management division will be having other paper sessions at this conference as well. There are ways to reduce or eliminate the registration fee, and my division has talked about ways to help people carpool and roomshare to reduce costs as well. Please let me know if you are interested in this panel discussion. And if you have been doing innovative research in any 3Rs/composting related area, zero waste, etc, please submit an abstract online. Today is the deadline, though the system may stay open over the weekend. http://www.abstractsonline.com/submit/login.asp?mkey={AD2EAEC1-EF67-4CDA-8DEA-C968EA93546F} Maggie Clarke, Ph.D. mclarke@no.address Environmental Scientist and Educator http://geography.hunter.cuny.edu/~mclarke/index.html New York City |
