Below is a general job description for the director of a brand new nonprofit recycling initiative in beautiful Eagle County, Colorado (home to Vail Resort, and a neighbor of Summit Recycling Project). Job Description

 

GENERAL STATEMENT
The Director is the administrative head of the Eagle Valley Alliance for Sustainability’s recycling initiative and shall be responsible for the proper administration and execution of recycling affairs. Under the general direction of the Eagle Valley Alliance President, the Recycling Director assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Alliance recycling program.

As the Alliance recycling program is a new initiative, beginning operations January 1, 2006, experience with a community recycling operation is critical for this position. The Recycling Director will work with the Alliance President to finalize a business plan, operational plan, requests for proposals and also to hire staff. Given the short timeframe, we hope to fill this position by October 28, 2005.
