I am working on a PAYT options paper for the various municipalities in our county, each of which have only one size of garbage roll cart currently, it's a 90 in one community with aumotated curbside collection of waste, a 96 in a second also automated and a 68 in the third with semi automated in rear packer trucks. They are unlikely to switch to variabble sized carts in the short term. Thus the question: Does any community use PAYT with bags or tags ina single sized cart and then 'count' 'view' or otehrwise police the bags as they spill from the carts to determine if they're the paid for bag, and if they're not the paid for bag, how do they enforce the non-payment. Thanks. RE: PETER Anderson's postings: I wonder how well GM's CEO and other top people were compensated last year & how big their bonuses were and if they graciously accepted all that compensation.......? If everyone in Orange County recycled two more aluminum cans a week we would recycle over twelve million more cans a year.__________________________________________________ Blair Pollock Solid Waste Planner (919) 968-2788 fax: (919) 932-2900 PO Box 17177 Chapel Hill, NC 27516-7177 |
