Bottle Deposits Vs Litter Taxes....NO CONTEST

Expanding New York State's bottle bill to include deposits on noncarbonated
beverages has about twice as much support among voters as repealing the
bottle law in favor of a tax on recyclables and litter-generating products,
according to a poll conducted by the Siena Research Institute and released
Tuesday, June 14h.  The poll of 622 registered voters in New York State,
conducted June 6-10, found a 52 percent to 27 percent advantage for the
bottle bill over the litter tax.
