In Eugene, which is too far away from Mass. To do any good, there's a firm which grinds tires and manufactures rubber mats, conveyor belts, etc. Too, nearly every tire shop in towen accepts used tires for recycling, as does the county dump. Every place charges a fee, and it is cheaper if the tires are off the rim. I would start by calling the tire shops in town to see what their policy is and pump them for information on where they send tires. The further up the food chain you get the cheaper the results. However, the easiest approach may be to calll the governmental department overseeing the state's recycling effort. Most likely they'll have a roster of manufacturers looking for used tire stock.
