There are some bodies who want to use less paper.
The difference between paper and plastic seems to be the
issue...biodegradability. Paper can be composted as can corn.
Closing the loop on the resource used is one objective

Remember it only takes about 2% of the natural gas to make all 100 billion
pounds of plastic in the U.S.

Paper consumes more resources, but nobody wants to use less of it.

The issues with plastic seem to be recyclability and litter.

I am not defending APC, but resource use is resource use.
