Greetings,

I am looking for some simple but true conversions that illustrate the environmental benefits of recycling one ton of:   
    *one ton of mixed paper into newsprint or cellulose insulation
    *one ton of high grade office paper into new paper
    *one ton of cardboard into new cardboard
    *one ton of HDPE into plastic lumber or other product
    *one ton of PETE into carpet or other product
    *one ton of steel cans into new cans
    *one ton of glass into new glass

I'm intersted in things like trees, energy, and landfill space saved, pollution prevented, greenhouse gases avoided and so on.  I would like to use this information in creating some ads and interpretive materials some displays.
