[greenyes] corporations

If I may make a constructive note on the corporation issue. I am not sure corporations are the axis of evil per se. However, I notice that when a company goes public to raise money, there are all kinds of requirements on them. I have seen normal entrepreneurs turn into greedy stock manipulators, and lose sight of why they started the company in the first place. The system rewards not those who create new technologies or who make things, but those who CHURN the system - those who buy and sell stock and businesses and real estate. If you can make more money manipulating your stock -- its an incentive for many people to do just that.

And I agree there are non-profits that get corrupted by special interests and lose sight of their original goal as well.

Wall Street needs reform, and we need to stop requiring companies to make a quarterly profit or die.

I have to say that most of the "green" companies touted by non profits groups tend to be privately owned.

I also know that there are many good people that work in public companies that simply can't do anything good because their bosses won't let them.
