[greenyes] Seasonal Waste Generation

There was some discussion on this list about waste generation over the
holidays.  The following is a quote in one of the weekend papers about waste
generation here.

Dan McInnis, the City of Winnipeg's manager of solid waste, said city
workers and contractors have been unable to complete their routes this week.


"This happens over the Christmas holidays every year," McInnis said. "On
Dec. 24, the average weight of garbage at each home was 14 kilograms and on
Jan. 2 the average weight is 28 kilograms -- that's double the amount of
waste."
