RESEARCH ASSOCIATE I (Six month limited term part time appointment)

Nonprofit public health research organization seeks Research Associate for
the Indoor Air Quality Section of the Department of Health Services.  The
Research Associate I will assist with a long-term indoor air quality study
of a large state office building complex in downtown Sacramento.  The
Research Associate I will assist in: (a) setting up ventilation measurement
equipment; and (b) collection of air samples.

Requirements:  Undergraduate student majoring in Chemistry, Chemical or
Environmental Engineering, or other closely related field.  Experience
working in an environmental field will be a plus. Must be self-motivated,
willing to learn, and able to work independently under general supervision.
Salary: $14.01 per hour.  Must be available for two weekdays per week
excluding Fridays (preferably consecutive days) from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm for
three weeks per month (total 6 days per month).  Six month limited duration.
Position will be based in downtown Sacramento and will begin December 2003
or January 2004.
