Apologises for cross posting, but we wanted to make you aware that Material World - The Report of the 2003 Benchmark Survey of Global Reporting is now available.

This report provides a valuable insight into current reporting trends around
the world and what is emerging as best practise. Attached in PDF format are the report front cover, contents page and list of companies included in the 2003 benchmark survey, to give you a good insight into the quality of this document.

Key findings of this year's survey include distinct differences in reporting
around the world, with notably fewer companies reporting in the U.S. than
either Europe or Asia; an increase in reporting on social categories
including health and safety, equality and diversity, and human rights. More
companies now produce a combined social and environmental report than purely environmental report. The Material World Report contains detailed examples, statistics, analysis and trends around these and other topics.

The Survey database developed since 1999 contains a wealth of information that can be utilised to provide in-depth analysis to companies wishing to explore particular aspects of reporting. Further analysis can also be provided in the form of selected Research Reports designed to meet specific areas of interest.

The Survey evaluates reporting by the 100 largest companies in the world by revenue (as listed in the Fortune Global 500), against a set of thirty-two
reporting categories. This year the Survey was expanded to include greater coverage of social reporting categories, and for the first time two economic categories were introduced.

The Report, Material World, highlights the findings of the fourth Benchmark Survey of Global Environmental and Social Reporting, and was recently covered in Ethical Corporation's newsletter
(http://www.ethicalcorp.com/content.asp?ContentID=641)

We have also attached a flyer giving more information about the Survey and Report, Material World. If you would like to know more about either, please do not hesitate to contact us.
