[GreenYes] Recycling education expenses
Steve,

Our report, Cutting the Waste Stream in Half: Community Record-Setters
Show How, has detailed information on costs and the education programs
in place. Some of the case studies break out education/publicity costs.
(But often education/publicity costs are grouped with administrative
costs too.) The case studies have information on households served by
progam and total resident population so you could do some calculations
and comparisons. The report is available on our web site at:
http://www.ilsr.org/recycling/wrrs/wrrs.html.

Subject: [GreenYes] Recycing education expenditures

Between 1994 and 2000, New York City spent approximately $0.63 per
resident
(per year) on recycling education. Does anyone have any numbers from
other
cities that I might compare this with?

Thanks.
