[GreenYes] Flags in the landfill

I couldn't help but share this.

An article in a local paper here in NC discusses how WW II veterans in our community are taking the time to properly dispose of tattered and worn 'old glories'.  As the story unfolds, one veteran quips, "They shouldn't go to the landfill.  You don't know how long they'll stay there in the ground."

To me, the irony is compelling.
