See the Grassroots Recycling Network's Wasting and Recycling in the
United States 2000 report (written by the Institute for Local
Self-Reliance) for discussion of municipal solid waste incineration, pp.
17-18.  The title of the section pretty much sums up our position:
Incinerators Have Proven Environmental and Economic Pitfalls.  For more
