[GreenYes] Anthrax

Anthrax contamination of recyclables is certainly possible. In this month's
Refuse News we discuss what measures are already in place to help safeguard
workers on sort lines from Anthrax and other medical hazards. I don't think
people who say they are immediately putting suspicious mail in their recycle
bins are bad people. They just don't think about those who are down the line
doing the collecting, sorting and processing. Unfortunate but true: Even
today, most people believe that once solid waste leaves their immediate
household it is taken away to live with Jesus.
Happy weekend all. As for Anthrax, we pray the worst is behind us.
