RE: [GreenYes] why people recycle?
i usually use Toms of Maine toothpaste which I know is recyclable
aluminum...I believe Most of them are plastic tubes or multi-layed material
however so they can't be recycled.

Metal toothpaste tubes are made of aluminum; I don't think the Aluminum
recycling industry really cares if there is some toothpaste stuck inside.
It all gets heated up, & melted down!
