[GreenYes] gasification without combustion
- Subject: [GreenYes] gasification without combustion

There are processes of coal gasification that allow old tires and
farm wastes with low liquid content to be converted to energy
WITHOUT burning either the coal or the admixture. Call this
recycling or not, but be careful to avoid the popular inference that
such processes must involve combustion, which they need not.
The Calderon process, for example, uses continuous feed into a
closed, oxygen-starved environment.
