"Recycled HDPE pellets cost $0.34/lb, almost as much as the $0.38/lb price
for virgin HDPE. Recycled PET pellets cost about $0.58/lb compared to
$0.76/lb for virgin material.[41] Economic return is reduced by the high
price of recycled resin and the practical requirement to use at least 50%
virgin resin to achieve desired performance."
