ELECTRONICS MAKERS PRESSED TO TAKE BACK DISCARDS

WASHINGTON, DC, April 16, 2001 (ENS) - It takes more than the click of a
mouse to make obsolete consumer electronic equipment disappear. Discarded
electronic equipment is one of the fastest growing waste streams in the
industrialized world, and this week these mountains of junk are the focus
of a grassroots campaign and a series of conferences.
