Since you're in MN, I highly recommend you do at least one of your stories
on the Green Institute, run by Michael Krause in Minneapolis 612-874-1148.
It's a great example of a low-income, minority neighborhood taking a
grassroots approach to job creation and environmental education. Building
deconstruction skills are being taught to unemployed youth, the salvaged
materials are sold in a retail store, and the recently opened building is
intended to operate as a small-scale eco-industrial park with a wide variety
of tenants.
