The 1/12/99 Wall Street Journal has a profile (Clean Act: Can an
Environmentalist Hold On to His Ideals And Still Run a Utility") on John
Bryson, former co-founder with John Adams of the Natural Resources Defense
Council, who went on to head Edison International (former SoCal Edison) as
an ostensible "green utility executive".

Bryson still sees himself that way, but environmentalists respond in
the article that his record is virtually no better than the average
utility, and, indeeed, worse than many good ones.

Sad!
