I have been reading with interest the discussion on biomass. I have =
become more and more concerned about the push here in NSW for =
waste-to-energy on the back of greenhouse and green power (I consult in =
the waste minimisation area). Lo and behold after making contact with =
some greenyes list members about the US perspective on this issue and =
request for any info, the NSW Government rushes through an amendment =
which allows native forest 'residue' to be burnt for energy and =
classified as renewable energy. I would suggest that the environment =
movement in NSW is still reeling in shock with the speed that this issue =
became a reality. Environment groups will now face a push for similar =
Federal legislation. So if anyone has any information that you think can =
be used for lobbying/ campaigning here I would really appreciate it.

Regards
