It seems like that the way paper is being shred is the problem (having to
compost it rather than put it back into paper manufacturing). Could the
shredding be done in such a way that its fiber integrity is retained with
the existing infrastructure? If not, I guess the shredders would have to
retool!! Or worse go out of business if someone starts marketing a "service
(ensuring a trusted reincarnation of confidential papers into a new life of
paper again)" rather than a (shredding) "technology".
