CET Announces new Director of Waste Management Programs

The Center for Ecological Technology (CET) has hired Evadne Giannini as
Director of Waste Management Programs. Ms Giannini will develop new
recycling, reuse and waste reduction programs for the community and manage
CET's current initiatives. CET currently provides environmental education,
technical assistance and services in waste management to businesses,
municipalities, schools and individuals.

Ms. Giannini has over 20 years of public and private recycling and business
experience. Most recently she was the Director of the State of Delaware's
Green Industries Program through The Delaware Economic Development Office.
This program was initiated through an EPA Jobs Through Recycling Grant in
1995. During the grant's 18 month cycle, the Green Industries Program
created over 150 full time jobs and 11 million dollars in capital investments
for Delaware. Before her appointment in Delaware, she worked as the
Recycling Coordinator and Clean Communities Coordinator for Leonia, New
Jersey.

"Evadne's experience in recycling and economic development are a great
resource. We are grateful for her enthusiasm and belief in the importance of
work at the community level and are thrilled that she has joined our solid
waste team", said CET Director Laura Dubester.

CET is a non-profit organization active in the fields of energy and resource
conservation, solid waste management, air and water quality, and sustainable
development. Founded in 1976, CET has offices in Pittsfield and Northampton,
