Hello James,
This may be a reach, but the following people take VCR tapes and other
recording media. They don't pay, but they will pick up shipping over a
certain quantity and give you a letter indicating that the material was
diverted.

The video media people are Ecomedia Recycling 800-359-4601. If I am not
mistaken, they are in So. California also. I was told to
speak with Jade, but the person who answered the phone helped me instead.
