The Recycling Association of Minnesota (RAM) and the Solid Waste Associatio=
n of North America (SWANA), Land of Lakes Chapter, are pleased to announce =
a call for speakers and papers for their 5th Annual RAM/SWANA Fall =
Conference and Show, to be held October 28, 1999, at the Earle Brown =
Heritage Center in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.
This conference brings together solid waste and recycling professionals =
from across Minnesota and surrounding states. Our participants represent =
all levels of local and state government and private industry from waste =
hauling and disposal to recycled product manufacturers and marketing. In =
addition to educating and informing our attendees with great speakers, we =
host a trade show. We expect an attendance of 250-300 people.
We invite you to share your expertise on any of the following topics, or =
other closely related issues:

There are many benefits of presenting at our conference! We offer =
speakers free admission to the conference with all meals included. =
Speaking will give you an opportunity to set yourself apart and enhance =
your credibility and stature among industry colleagues. You will refresh =
and increase your own knowledge about recycling, waste reduction and =
emerging environmental issues. Challenge yourself and your colleagues =
through the interactive sessions and lively debate over current and future =
issues. We encourage you to participate and take advantage of this great =
public relations opportunity.
*How to Apply*
Please submit a one page abstract to be considered as a speaker. Your =
abstract should describe the topic and content of the proposed presentation=
and clearly state its relevance to solid waste management professionals. =
Tell us what attendees will gain from hearing your presentation, and =
briefly outline your qualifications. Speakers typically serve on a panel =
of presenters, and the length of each presentation ranges from 15 to 20 =
minutes.
