Re: Jenny Kent's request for waste reduction education
programs aimed at the workplace-

I put together a curriculum for training community recycling
coordinators to help companies reduce, reuse, recycle or
compost their waste. "Reducing Commercial and Industrial
Solid Waste: For Community Solid Waste Managers" has
a detailed train-the-trainer guide and participant's manual.
It includes: approaching company managers and persuading
them to adopt waste reduction practices, broad-based waste
reduction assistance available from communities, conducting
three types of waste assessments, and waste reduction
methods for selected materials and specific types of companies.
The curriculum is available from the National Environmental
Training Center for Small Communities - (800) 624-8301.
