I'm part of a team that is beginning to look at economic development
opportunities related to the capture, reuse, and/or recycling of urban
wood waste. In particular, we'll be focusing on clean wood (pallets,
cut-offs, etc.) generated by manufacturing businesses in the New York
City area.
Obviously, we're quite familiar with the work and research that Big
City Forest/Bronx 2000 did in the past, but I'm interested in learning
more about any research or programs that have been initiated in other
parts of the country.
Referrals to any existing studies on this subject would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks.
