Dear Hewlett-Packard Co.,

You should be ashamed of yourselves!

I just purchased an HP Inkjet Print Cartridge, model HP 51629A.

I did not realize that it was a single-use product until I opened the
package. You should never produce a single use product when a multiple use
product can be made. In fact, previous inkjet cartridges I have bought
have all been multiple use until this one. In the past I have not bought a
new replacement cartridge every time the current one runs out of ink
because I like to refill my cartridge several times before buying a new one.

Also, too much excess packaging was used in the packaging of the new
cartridge I just purchased. I am including the box for you to see exactly
which packaging was used. At least one-half of the box was dead air space.

Hewlett-Packard has a good reputation for producing good products.
Previous multiple use cartridges and packaging was good for the environment
and good for Hewlett-Packard. It indicated you were being a responsible
company with concern for our shared quality of life.

My latest purchase seems to indicate that Hewlett-Packard is on a downward
spiral. Please make the appropriate changes needed to recapture your good
name and to set the standard of excellence that is expected of your company
and for which other companies strive to emulate.

Yours truly,
