Subject: Index of Population and Waste Changes

Bill Carter asks:

"Does anyone know of a state or organization
that has an index of population, economic, and/or other statistics to
predict changes in waste generation for a community or state?"

Contact Gene Tseng, a California consultant who has done a very
sophisticated analysis of this for the State of California.

Hi,
We met briefly when you were in Eugene a while back at a dinner at
Anatolia's organized by Kathy Ging.

I'm working with a group that's trying to get info on increasing recycling
and creating jobs by increasing recycling. I know you recycle a lot things
than we do and am wondering if you have a list of items you recycle, where
they go, and how many jobs you've created by doing this. Maybe how much
start-up funding is needed too.

The County here has the pipeline to Short Mt. back on its agenda. sigh.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Subject: Web page policies

An environmental group that I work with wants to develop some formal
policies regarding the content of their web site. Does anyone know of any
similar policies developed by other organizations that I might draw on?

I'm particularly interested in any policies that have to do with links to
commercial sites.

Thanks for any assistance you can provide.
