Subject: NRC Leadership Succession

To GreenYes subscribers:

The National Recycling Coalition (NRC) is looking at options regarding
how to formalize and/or streamline the way it elects and appoints its
leaders, or even to validate the way it currently handles this task. When
I say leaders, I'm talking about the elected officers of the organization
like its President, Vice-president, Secretary, and Treasurer, as well as
other key office holders like committee chairpeople.

I am a member of an NRC working group researching options and which will
eventually make some recommendations to the NRC Board of Directors, and I
need your help.

Do any of you have examples of local, regional, national, or
international organizations' leadership succession plans and procedures?
I am mostly interested in non-progit groups, but if you have other
examples, please pass them along.

I know this is an open-ended and potentially time consuming question to
answer, but your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanking you in advance,

James Wood asked:

"A vendor of ours throws out over 300 1 gallon HDPE oil bottles per
month. Does anyone out there know of an outlet for oil bottles? We
can bale them, if that helps."

The major oil bottle recycler is Graham REcycling, 505 Windsor St.,
York PA 17403, 717-849-8652.
