Subject: Container Deposit Legislation (CDL) Report - now on the net.

I'm not sure if the following ever made it out to the GreenYes list, so
here it is again, just in case.

[Has there been a problem with the ListServer? I've only just started
getting the GreenYes Digest again after a month or so of having received
nothing.]

Conspiracy, bribery, waste, and deception - it's got the lot!!!

The ground-breaking 1992 report "Container Deposit Legislation - Bringing
Back Returnables" is now available on the web .... making it accessible to
an international audience, as well as to readers in Australia for whom it
was originally written.

'Bringing Back Returnables' lifts the cloak-of-darkness from the apparently
benign beverage and packaging industries. It's packed with facts and
figures, graphs and data tables, references and resources from both
Australian and international sources. And the commentary draws it all
together in a way that makes it easy for the reader to digest.

For those who can't wait any longer it can be found at:

http://www.crisscross.com/Users/oldxeye/CDL/CDLreport.html

The report has been designed with the web-reader in mind. The ten chapters,
appendices, charts and tables are all easily and quickly navigated. And a
full text version has been provided for those wishing to download and read
or use the information later.

In the short period since "Container Deposit Legislation - Bringing Back
Returnables" was written, the environmental, social, and economic problems
it deals with have become even more acute. Now more than ever this report
provides a relevant and useful resource for all those wishing to protect
their environment.
