Read somewhere that Coke is signing with Wendy's as its official soft drink
supplier.

What if all the recycling organizations in the Country (NRC/SRO) wrote a
letter to Dave at Wendy's protesting that Coke broke its promise?

Wendy does not need to get wrapped in Coke's bad publicity.
Dave's folksy image would really suffer.

Anybody know if Dave has e-mail?
Does Dave recycle?
Does he buy recycled ?
Can he ask Coke to recycle?

Rick, I think Coke might be getting other fastfood companies involved as
well. Recently, when I was in Arizona I notice that CinnaMonster
(fastfood cinnamon roll chain) had Cokes logo on their hot liquid travel
mug. Last year, CinnaMonster had a different kind of a travel mug
without Coke's logo.

On another note...I hear Zee bought Ft. Howard paper mill. Are they
still making a line of paper products with recycled content? Anubody
know the story?

The legislation favored recycling systems for filters that provide some recovery of residual oil and paper filter, which generally has gone to fuel uses, over traditional scrap metal processing of the filters. For more information on these systems, you can call our MSW Automotive Waste office at (512) 239-6695. Also, at the federal level, the GSA under the Planet GSA program will likely have information about contracting opportunities for recycling oil filters in your area which they would be willing to share with you -- and I hope this list also -- contact jackie.robinson@gsa.gov.
