Before we can worry about the expansion of recycling to 50 percent, we
have to straighten the operation out and continue to push for 25 percent
which I frankly don't think we have achieved.
There appears to be no commitment on either the local government level,
or level of the citizenry and recycling planners to promote greater
recycling at this time. We are just trying to hold on to what we have.
If I sound pesimistic, I am. That is, therefore, the reason it makes
little sense for me to attend. Nevertheless, I appreciate learning from
others on the discussion list, and, am sharing the information gleaned
with area recycling planners.
